Crystal Palace will go in search of a fourth victory in five matches when they welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Under the guidance of new manager Oliver Glasner, the Eagles have climbed to 14th in the Premier League table – 14 points behind sixth-placed Man Utd.

Crystal Palace recorded a 1-1 draw against Fulham last weekend, with Jeffrey Schlupp’s stunning long-range strike earning his side a point in the 87th minute.

Thanks to victories over Liverpool (1-0), West Ham United (5-2) and Newcastle United (2-0), the Eagles soar into Monday’s clash on a four-game unbeaten streak.

There is no denying that Glasner has transformed Palace’s fortunes since Roy Hodgson’s departure, with only two defeats coming in their previous eight matches.

Having won five of their last eight home league games, Crystal Palace will be hopeful of picking up another positive result against unpredictable Manchester United.

As for the visitors, they were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation strugglers Burnley last weekend, conceding an 87th-minute penalty to throw away two points.

Still, the Red Devils have avoided defeat in each of their previous four Premier League outings, recording one win and three draws in the process.

It is worth noting, however, that Man Utd have failed to win any of their last four away league games, taking just two points from a possible 12 during that period.

Having won only three of their previous 11 away games in the Premier League, Erik ten Hag’s side could struggle to claim all three points at Selhurst Park.

Head-to-head: Crystal Palace claimed a memorable 1-0 victory at Old Trafford back in September, meaning they have won two of their last four league meetings with United.

In fact, across their past nine league meetings, the Eagles have defeated the Red Devils on four occasions, recording two draws and three losses.

Team news: Sam Johnstone, Cheick Doucoure, Jefferson Lerma, Marc Guehi and Rob Holding are all unavailable for Palace. There are also question marks over Eberechi Eze.

Man Utd’s lengthy injury list contains Scott McTominay, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.

Although Palace have made marked improvements under Glasner, United should have enough quality to claim all three points at Selhurst Park.
