We want people on Trechat to have safe, inclusive, and authentic conversations. With that goal in mind, we work hard to minimize toxic and illegal content, and give people tools to control their interactions.

Account and service integrity

We do our best to keep people with bad intent from creating or maintaining accounts, compromising the accounts of others, or artificially boosting harmful content. This helps us protect the safety, security, and credibility of Trechat accounts.

Positive impact on society

We foster free and global conversations, and are committed to healthy discourse. That means we try to minimize the distribution and reach of harmful or misleading information, especially when its intent is to disrupt a civic process or cause offline harm.

Share and grow the world’s knowledge. Not all knowledge can be written down, but much of that which can be, still isn't. It remains in people’s heads or only accessible if you know the right people. We want to connect the people who have knowledge to the people who need it, to bring together people with different perspectives so they can understand each other better, and to empower everyone to share their knowledge for the benefit of the rest of the world.
